It’s Mug Club Renewal Time At Two Beers Brewing Company

Have you ever been a member of a craft brewery mug club?  If you find that you’re a frequent visitor to some craft breweries more than others, joining a mug club could be a good way for you to save some money over time and even get access to special events and special releases.  I myself have been a member of the mug club at Two Beers Brewing Company (CBM Sponsor) for several years now.  Since they’re one of the breweries closest to my house, I tend to stop there quite a bit.

Now, with Spring upon us, Two Beers Brewing has announced the annual renewal for their mug club memberships.  As with most mug clubs, not every member renews their membership each year. Any un-renewed membership slots are then available for new members to join.  If you are already a member and are renewing your membership, there may be a few benefits for you as well.

Two Beers Brewing Gives EVO IPA A new Look And New Flavors

I’ve been following Two Beers Brewing Company (CBM Sponsor) almost since they first opened and I think the first beer I ever had from them was their flagship EVO (Evolutionary) IPA.  Loaded with Simcoe (one of my favorites), Amarillo and Centennial hops from the Yakima Valley, then dry-hopped with more Simcoe and Columbus, EVO is still a solid IPA.

However, ever since Two Beers came out with more IPAs like their Wonderland Trail Double IPA, Mango Passionfruit IPA and new The Other Coast Hazy IPA, EVO doesn’t get quite as much attention as it used to.  Two Beers has noticed this so they’ve decided to shake things up a bit and turn EVO into an IPA that will be constantly changing throughout 2018, utilizing new, experimental hop varieties from Yakima Valley. It seems quite fitting that a beer named ‘evolutionary’ is now evolving.

Two Beers Brewing Prepares For Their 10th Anniversary

With so many breweries in Seattle, it seems like there’s always an anniversary celebration just around the corner (not that I’m complaining or anything!).  Over the past few months I’ve told you about anniversary celebrations from such local breweries as Lucky Envelope, Hellbent, Stoup and Naked City and there’s still more anniversary celebrations to come before the year is out.

Now Two Beers Brewing Company (CBM Sponsor) is getting ready to celebrate a major milestone.  Coming up on Saturday, November 4th, they’ll be celebrating their 10th Anniversary. Rather than celebrating for just one day, however, Two Beers has nearly an entire week of events lined up, culminating with the Grand Celebration on the 4th.

Fresh Hop Season Kicks Off Next Week At Two Beers Brewing

Summer is waning and Fall is drawing closer each day.  That must mean it’s Fresh Hop time!  Each year, when it’s time for the hop harvest up in Yakima Valley, many local craft breweries prepare to brew their annual Fresh Hop beers – loaded up with fresh-picked hops right off the vine.

Two Beers Brewing Company (CBM Sponsor) prides themselves on always being the first local brewery each year to debut their Fresh Hop IPA, and this year is no different.  They held their annual hop picking party, and brewed their Fresh Hop IPA back on August 9th.  By next week it will be ready to serve, and Two Beers is welcoming it with a Fresh Hop IPA release party on Wednesday, August 23rd.

Day Hike Summer Ale Returns From Two Beers Brewing Company

Every year, when certain craft beer styles return to taps and bottle shop shelves, you know the seasons are changing.  We’re finally coming out of our long Northwest Winter and Summer is right around the corner. I can tell not only by the calendar on the wall, but by the return of certain beers.  One of those beers, which heralds the arrival of longer days and warmer nights is Day Hike Summer Ale from Two Beers Brewing Company (CBM Sponsor).

Light and crisp, Day Hike Summer Ale is the perfect accompaniment for all of your Summertime outings.  Coming in at just 4.1%, it won’t weigh you down or make you feel like you’re ready for a nap. Bring some to your next BBQ or while you’re out hiking, climbing, kayaking, cycling or however you like to fill your Summer days and nights.

Craft Beer Monger’s Top Picks For Seattle Beer Week #9

Maybe it’s just me, but it feels like the past year has flown by so quickly.  Seattle Beer Week #8 almost feels like it was just a few weeks ago.  Yet here we are, with Seattle Beer Week #9 kicking off in just two days.  Have you had an opportunity to look over the ever-growing list of events on the official Seattle Beer Week website?  With so many events to choose from, many of which happen on the same day or even at the same time, you may have to make some difficult choices regarding which events to attend.  Here are my top picks for Seattle Beer Week #9.

Things get under way with the Official Seattle Beer Week Kickoff this Thursday, May 4th.  There are  5 stops on the Seattle Beer Week (SBW) kickoff tour.  Things start off at 4:30 pm at the new Flatstick Pub location in Pioneer Square.  The other stops on this year’s kickoff tour include: Beveridge Place Pub (6:30 pm and Cask-O-Rama will be going on), Brouwer’s Cafe (7:45 pm), Naked City Brewery & Taphouse (9:00 pm), with the evening closing out at The Pine Box (10:30 pm).

Lima Loca Returns For The Summer From Two Beers Brewing

Summer is almost here. It may not officially start until June 21st, but things are warming up out there and we’re starting to see other signs of Summer’s return as well. For example, the return of Lima Loca Mexican Lager from Two Beers Brewing Company (CBM Sponsor).

This Summer-inspired brew returns this year as pat of Two Beers’ new Pub Series and even has a brand new look.  It will launch next Tuesday the 2nd with a Taco Tuesday release party from 3 pm  – 9 pm at The Woods taproom (the shared taproom for Two Beers Brewing Company and Seattle Cider Company), and will even be available in three limited-edition infusions: Raspberry Lima, Agave Rosemary Lima Shandy and Coconut Lima.

Fall Line Russian Imperial Stout Returns Today From Two Beers Brewing

fallline2017poster2-0

I’m a fan of all different styles of craft beer, but I think my two favorite styles are barrel aged Stouts and IPAs (actually, double IPAs).  So, whenever I hear of an impending barrel aged Stout release, I get a little excited.

Unfortunately, since I’m currently doing a dry 30 days (no alcohol from January 26th to February 25th), I won’t be able to enjoy the latest Alta Series release from Two Beers Brewing Company (CBM Sponsor) until this Saturday.  For the rest of you, however, drop by The Woods today when they open their doors at 3 pm and grab yourself a few bottles of Fall Line Russian Imperial Stout. They’ll also have it on tap for you to enjoy.

The South Seattle Brewery Coalition Wants You To “Be Disloyal”

ssbc1

Since I live in the South end, I’ve been a bit of an advocate for Seattle’s many South end breweries.  Back in 2015 I even published an article encouraging craft beer lovers to check out all of the breweries in SoDo, Georgetown, South Park and Columbia City. As I pointed out in that article, the South end rivals Ballard for the sheer number of breweries you can visit, albeit spread out a bit more than the concentration in Ballard.

In order to continue encouraging craft beer fans to visit Seattle’s South end breweries, they have come together to form the South Seattle Brewery Coalition (SSBC), which encourages you to “be disloyal” and drink someone else’s beer.  According to the SSBC: “We love challenging one another to make better beer, to provide more excellent service, and to better educate the wonderful people who have chosen to support our businesses.”

Two Beers Partners With Anchorhead Coffee For The Return Of Their Cold Brew Coffee Brown Ale

coldbrew2017poster

Back in early 2015, I first told you about the debut of Cold Brew Coffee Brown Ale from Two Beers Brewing Company (CBM Sponsor).  It’s coffee-forward aroma and flavor are the perfect marriage of two quintessentially Seattle flavors: coffee and craft beer. Available seasonally from late Winter through Spring, Cold Brew Coffee Brown Ale is low in acidity and subtly sweet.

For this year’s iteration of Cold Brew, Two Beers has partnered with Seattle’s own Anchorhead Coffee. According to Two Beers’ founder, Joel VandenBrink: “Their unique roasting process and the flavors that shine through make this beer one of our favorites, and perfect for everything from brunch to backpacking.”
