Seattle has lots of unique neighborhoods, each with their own identity and feel. One such neighborhood is Phinney RIdge and each year, the Phinney Neighborhood Association hosts a craft beer event known as the Summer Beer Taste. This year’s luau-themed event, Brewkilau, is set for this coming Saturday, July 21st.
Your $30 ticket for this event ($25 for PNA Members), gets you 10 beer tastes from 30+ different, local craft breweries and cideries, plus an assortment of pub snacks.
Each year, the Phinney Neighborhood Association (PNA) hosts a Summer Beer Tasting. This year will be the 12th year for this fun event, which is scheduled to take place this Saturday, July 22nd at the Phinney Neighorhood Center.
The motto/slogan for this year’s event is Summer of Beer which is a throwback, of course, to the Summer of Love. That’s very fitting since the Summer of Love was exactly 50 years ago (1967).
Many of Seattle’s neighborhoods are tight knit communities. Each is different in its own way and in the Phinney neighborhood, the Phinney Neighborhood Association (PNA) helps bring the community together. In their own words, the PNA exists to: “Build, engage and support our diverse community through programs, services and activities that connect neighbors and foster civic engagement.”
One of the best ways I know of to help connect the people in a community is an outdoor social gathering, and what better social gathering than a beer tasting? Coming up this Saturday, July 23rd is the 10th Annual PNA Summer Beer Taste.
This coming Saturday, November 14th, is the 28th Annual PNA (Phinney Neighborhood Association) Winter Beer Taste – Aka: Beer Wars: The Wort Awakens. That’s right. This event has been going strong for 28 years now. Amazing.
This popular annual event will give you 10 tastes from a selection of 30 NW breweries, pub style snacks and a silent auction of awesome beer stuff.
