The Shambles Opens This Saturday In Maple Leaf

There are some good places to go in Seattle if you’re looking for butchery, charcuterie, smoked meats, sandwiches, sausages and the like.  There are also some good places to go in Seattle if you’re looking for an excellent selection of craft beers or some top notch craft cocktails.  Of course, trying to find all of these things under one roof has been a bit of a challenge, until now that is.  Set to open this coming Saturday, January 20th in Seattle’s Maple Leaf neighborhood is The Shambles, Seattle’s new North end destination where deli • meats • bar.

Belltown & Schooner Exact Team Up To Create SODO Brewing

 

It seems like you can’t throw a rock in Seattle these days without hitting a brewery, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing.  Despite the large and ever-increasing number of craft breweries in Seattle, we still don’t seem to have reached the saturation point.  I believe that’s because Seattle craft beer drinkers really love to drink local.

Sure, Seattle has its iconic and big name breweries that are well known even outside the Seattle area.  Others, however, have a more local, neighborhood feel and here in the Northwest we love to support small neighborhood businesses. That’s why two local, neighborhood breweries, Belltown Brewing Company and Schooner Exact Brewing Company, to form a new, limited-series collaboration brewery named SODO Brewing.

Reuben’s Brews Reveals Their 2018 Release Calendar

Do you have a favorite craft brewery?  I get asked this question quite a bit, but I’ve found it virtually impossible to pick just one brewery as my overall favorite.  I have a whole list of favorites (as well as a list of breweries I tend to dislike/avoid), but narrowing it down to just one?  Nope.  I can’t do it.

If you follow me on Twitter, then you know that I regularly post a list of some of my favorite breweries (on ‘Follow Friday’) but, again, it’s a list rather than just one brewery.  Each time I post my list of favorites, however, Reuben’s Brews is included.  Ever since they first launched back in 2012, I’ve been a fan.  Their Rye beers and barrel aged stouts are always excellent and they’ve just been killing it lately with all of their different IPA releases.
