I know it’s only Fall. Winter doesn’t officially arrive until late December, but craft beer has always been a bit ahead of the curve (Pumpkin beers showing up in early August, anyone?) Being a big fan of Winter beers though, I certainly don’t mind when they start arriving a bit early.
Apparently, nether do many of the breweries in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. Because, coming up this coming Saturday, November 3rd is the Ballard Brewed Winter Beer Festival to Benefit Bellwether Housing. Drink Winter beers from eleven different Ballard breweries and do your part to help Bellwether Housing – creating affordable housing in Seattle.
Way back in February of this year, I told you about another new brewery coming to Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. That brewery, Bad Jimmy’s Brewing Company, had originally set themselves a target of opening by April 2013. Unfortunately, due to some delays in obtaining all the necessary licenses and a few other issues they had to work through (mostly some plumbing and drain issues), they did not hit that April target. Instead, after an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign and lots of hard work, Bad Jimmy’s, Ballard’s newest brewery, will be opening their doors to the public this coming Friday, December 27th at 5:00 PM.
Are you ready to help one of Seattle’s newest brewery startups hit the ground running? Bad Jimmy’s Brewing Company, in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, has launched their Kickstarter campaign and they need your help to reach their goal of raising $13K by Wednesday, July 10th, 2013. Your donation of as little as $3 will put you among an elite group who are excited to see Bad Jimmy’s succeed. They are also offering incentives to their backers. The more you donate, the greater your reward. Click HERE to see the full list of incentives and rewards including: Keychains, Bottle Openers, T-Shirts, Posters, Private Parties, Tank Naming Rights and more. I’ve been keeping you up to date with what’s going on at Bad Jimmy’s since February and, now that all their licenes are in place and things are ramping up, it looks like July will be the ‘magic’ month they’ve been waiting for to finally open their doors.
