Bramling Cross Hosts A Beer Feast With Fremont Brewing

Ethan Stowell’s Bramling Cross restaurant is betting you’ll still have some energy and a hearty appetite left over after the end of Seattle Beer Week (SBW) on May 14th.  That’s because just one day after SBW 2017 wraps up, on Monday, May 15th, they’ll be hosting a beer feast featuring beers from Fremont Brewing Company.

This evening of gastronomic delights, which Bramling Cross has described as a family-style feast, will feature several tasty selections from Chef Travis Post, all expertly paired with six different beers from Fremont Brewing Company.

Dine With Lark, Cloudburst & Holy Mountain During Seattle Beer Week

 

As I’m sure most of you already know, Seattle Beer Week kicks off next Thursday, May 4th.  Exactly one week later (but still during Seattle Beer Week, which continues until the 14th), Seattle’s premiere artisan-focused restaurant, Lark, will be hosting a gourmet beer dinner, featuring their own artisan cuisine and beers from two of Seattle’s newest and hottest breweries: Cloudburst Brewing and Holy Mountain Brewing.

This is just one of several dinners you’ll find listed on the events page for Seattle Beer Week, but this is the only one where you can enjoy Chef John Sundstrom’s gourmet offerings of locally-produced and organic cheese, charcuterie, vegetables, grains, fish, and meats, all prepared in season, as well as beers from both Cloudburst and Holy Mountain.

Pike Brewing Announces Tankard & Tun

Pike Brewing Company has been a fixture of the Seattle craft beer scene since way back in 1989.  Founders Charles and Rose Ann Finkel have also been instrumental in helping expand the craft beer scene across Seattle and indeed across the nation.  Their tireless work to help promote craft beer as well as all the wonderful craft beer and food parings that are possible out there has been an inspiration to countless brewers and chefs.

Now, Charles and Rose Ann are preparing for Pike’s biggest expansion in over 21 years.  Pike Brewing Company is pleased to announce Tankard & Tun.  Coming this Summer, Tankard & Tun is a new restaurant, oyster bar and brew deck that will also provide Pike with an expanded brew cellar.

Fish Tale Ales Expands Organic Line In Cans

Fish Tale Ales has been cranking out craft brews in Olympia Washington since October of 1993.  You know them as the most recognizable brand from Fish Brewing Company.  What you might not be aware of though is that, through various mergers and acquisitions through the years, the name Fish Brewing Company now also includes the brands: Leavenworth Biers, Spire Mountain Cider and, added just last year, Vitis Spirits (Aka: Grapeworks Distilling).

Fish Tale Ales is popular with the organic crowd, thanks to their Organic IPA, which is made from 100% locally sourced organic malted barley and hops.  Now, as part of their commitment to sustainability, Fish is expanding their organic line to include Organic Porter and Organic Red Ale.  All three beers will now be available in both 12 oz cans and 22 oz bottles.

Safeco Field Menu Updates For The 2017 Mariners Season

Spring has finally arrived in the Northwest and that means, of course, the return of baseball.  For the past few years, I’ve kept you up to date on what delicious craft beers and gourmet food choices you can expect to find each Seattle Mariners season at Safeco Field.

Well, it’s that time again and I’ve been invited back to check out some new offerings for this year’s menu. Ethan Stowell has, once again, partnered with Centerplate and the Seattle Mariners to bring you some amazing creations including: Seattle ‘Wings’ (Taylor Shellfish Farms fried oysters with Frank’s RedHot sauce), authentic Oaxacan chapulines (toasted grasshoppers with chile-lime salt seasoning), and frozen custard cookie sandwiches.
