New Cans As Pike Prepares For Their 29th Anniversary

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  Pike Brewing Company is a Seattle icon.  They’re also one of the oldest craft breweries in Seattle and are preparing to celebrate their 29th anniversary.  That’s nearly 30 years of craft beer, which is longer than some craft beer drinkers I know have even been alive!

Pike doesn’t just rest on their laurels either.  Sure, they have their core favorites like Kilt Lifter Scotch Ale, XXXXX Stout, Naughty Nellie Golden Ale, Monk’s Uncle Belgian Tripel and more, but they also continue to innovate with beers like Hive Five Hopped Honey Ale, Oaked Pear Sour, their Third Story Series Dark Lager and more.

Pike is also changing their look.  Space Needle IPA is the ‘sneak peek’, but they also have new can designs coming for their classics: Pike IPA, Kilt Lifter Scotch Ale and Monk’s Uncle Belgian Tripel, which will debut in October.

Here is some more information about the new can designs and 29th anniversary celebration from Pike Brewing Company:

New Pike Space Needle IPA cans offer a sneak peek as they begin to hit shelves in two weeks.

New Pike Space Needle Cans Hit Shelves in September
Leading Pike Brewing Company’s new packaging launch, Pike Space Needle IPA is being released mid-September with a brand-new can design! Created by co-founder Charles Finkel, the star “P” design was first market-tested on Pike Pils 22-ounce bottles before being adapted for 12-ounce cans in response to overwhelming positive feedback. The new logo will be used across Pike’s beer packaging, evoking the brewery’s retro roots and continued evolution into the future. Long-time Pike fans will recognize the new design’s through line, “The star, as well as the sweeping font, have been part of the Pike brand since its inception, appearing on labels since 1989,” says Charles, “We modernized our packaging while maintaining a connection to our own history. Rose Ann and I are proud that Pike Brewing Company continues to grow and evolve as the goal is for Pike to become a 100-year-old independent brewery.” Please find photos of the new Pike Space Needle IPA cans attached.

Pike Turns 29 in Mid-October
As Pike turns 29-years-old this October, and additional three new can designs will join Pike Space Needle, all featuring the star “P” design: Pike Monk’s Uncle, Pike IPA, and best-seller, Pike Kilt Lifter. More news and additional images will be sent out as we near our Canniversary!

Pike Brewing Company is an independent brewery founded in 1989. Located in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Public Market neighborhood, Pike Brewing Company is home to The Pike Pub and Tankard & Tun

Pike Brewing will celebrate their 29th anniversary in about a month.  Check back here as I will provide more information about the anniversary celebration and their other new can designs as soon as Pike makes them available.  Until then, pick up some new Space Needle IPA cans and enjoy.

Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
