Seattle is definitely a wonderful place to live if you’re a fan of great craft beers. The high concentration of excellent breweries in the city make it one of the best craft beer destinations in the nation. However, don’t forget to take a trip out of town every now and then, because there are several breweries outside Seattle – from the Oregon border all the way up to Canada – who are doing great work.
One outside-of-Seattle destination I don’t make it to very often is the Olympia area, which is home to several craft breweries including Top Rung Brewing Company in Lacey. You may not be as familiar with Top Run as some other Olympia area breweries, because they haven’t started bottling or canning most of their beers yet, but they’ve been brewing good beers in Olympia for nearly four years now, and it’s time to celebrate. This Saturday, April 21st, Top Rung Brewing Company will celebrate their 4th anniversary.
Here is the full press release from Top Rung Brewing Company:
Top Rung Brewing is excited to announce that we will be celebrating our 4-year anniversary on April 21 st by holding a 4-year Beerbalation at the brewery. Our Beerbalation
will feature the release of our Anniversary Pilsner, limited release of our Raspberry Pastry Stout in bottles, special commemorative glass with beer of your choice for $7.50 (excluding
special release or Imperials) while they last, games, Wicked Pies Pizza food truck, and more! Come on out and join us at the brewery for a great time and celebrate 4-years of Top Rung! The event will be 12:00 to 9:00 at the brewery located at 8343 Hogum Bay Lane NE in Lacey.
Top Rung Brewing is a 10-barrel production brewery with tasting room. Top Rung is a destination for craft beer drinkers to enjoy their beverage and view a working production
brewery facility. Our tasting room is warm and inviting, family friendly and while we will only offer snacks to include hot pretzels, we partner with local food trucks as well as allow
patrons to bring in their own food of their choice or have it delivered. Normal hours are: Wednesday-Friday: 3-9, Saturdays: 12-9, and Sundays: 12-5.
If you’ve never visited Top Rung Brewing Company, then this is your perfect excuse. Also, since they’re in Lacey, they’re just a bit closer to Seattle than nearly every other Olympia area brewery. Just be sure to assign a designated driver for the trip back home. They’ll have free prizes, beer specials throughout the day, live music, pizza from Wicked Pies and they’ll even have their back parking lot opened up for games. They’re also dog and family friendly, so bring the kids and make a day of it.
Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
