Alesong primarily distributes their limited quantity of bottled beers through their mailing list. Want in? You can join their mailing list at the link above. Using this members-first method is Alesong’s best attempt at a system they believe ensures as many people as possible can get their beers, by reserving beers for their loyal customers in advance before anything sells out. SEATTLE, WA:  On Tuesday, February 20th, Eugene’s Alesong Brewing and Blending will host an event at Seattle’s Teku Tavern to release its five new bottled beers to mailing list members in Washington (sign up free at alesongbrewing.com/join).  The event will take place beginning at 5 p.m. where members who purchased in the presale will be able to pick up their bottles and all five beers will be available for tasting and paired with custom chocolate confections, provided free for members who purchased at least 6 bottles in the presale.  Some of the new release beers will be available on site for additional purchase and will hit select Washington restaurants and bottle shops beginning that week.

“We are really excited for the chance to connect with our customers in Washington and try to give them a similar release experience to our members in Oregon without having to drive 5 hours,” says cofounder, Doug Coombs. “And it gives our best customers a chance to get all of our newest release beers that won’t make it into stores!”

New beers being released include:

  • Four Pirates – Four Brothers’ swashbuckling Caribbean cousin. Rum barrel-aged Belgian-style quad
  • Kentucky Kilt – Bourbon barrel-aged scotch ale: William Wallace meets Old Forester
  • Pêche – Juicy! But not that kind of juicy… Barrel-aged, mixed-culture farmhouse ale refermented on whole local peaches
  • Rackhouse Reserve – A cuvee blend of our finest spirits barrels. Imperial milk stout aged in a combination of bourbon, whiskey and rum barrels
  • White – Back by popular demand and in bottles for the first time! Our take on a Belgian-style Witbier

ABOUT ALESONG BREWING AND BLENDING: Alesong Brewing and Blending is a small artisan brewery based in the heart of Southern Willamette Valley wine country that crafts unique and small-batch beers with a focus on oak aging and Belgian-inspired techniques, brewing both wild and non-wild beers, using locally grown fruits, herbs and a host of special yeasts and other microbes.  Once the beer in the barrels has matured, the team samples and selects each barrel individually to blend. Paying homage to old-world Lambic blenders and artisan winemakers, Alesong believes that the final, balanced blend of a barrel-aged beer is much more satisfying than the sum of its parts or each individual barrel by itself. If you aren’t already a member, you may have missed out on pre-ordering these bottles, but be sure to sign up now so you’re in the know about Alesong’s future releases.  As noted above, some of the new release beers will be available at Teku Tavern for additional purchase and will also hit select Washington restaurants and bottle shops, so be on the lookout.

Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
