Wisdom Seeker Returns This Weekend From Black Raven Brewing

Time for a short history lesson.  Benjamin Franklin (who lived from 1706 – 1790) is often credited with the quote: “In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is Freedom, in water there is bacteria.”  Unfortunately, he never said it. For one thing, the word ‘bacteria’ wasn’t first used until the year 1881.  For another, I happen to believe there’s just as much wisdom in beer than there is in wine.

In any case, perhaps that’s where Black Raven Brewing Company (CBM Sponsor) got part of the inspiration for one of their most popular beers: Wisdom Seeker Double IPA, which makes it’s annual return this coming Friday, March 10th.

Here is some more information about this beer from Black Raven Brewing Company:

Folklore and mythology present the raven as an omniscient creature with special powers and abilities. The Wisdom Seeker Double IPA gets its special powers from an enormous amount of hops and malted barley. Brewed in the West coast Double IPA style, this bold brew features massive citrus and herbal hop additions and a full hop aroma. Seek your wisdom cautiously; this hop feast packs a punch.

Taproom, growlers and 22oz bottles to go
$8.99 + tax bottles
1 case limit per person, per day

8.9% ABV

In a World constantly flooded with new IPAs, Wisdom Seeker remains one of my top picks.  It’s intense hop aroma and pleasing citrusy character is always a bit hit with all the hopheads out there (including myself).  Wisdom Seeker Double IPA will be available when Black Raven opens their doors at noon on Friday and will start appearing in local bottle shops shortly thereafter.  As note above, there is a 1 case limit per person, per day, but you can also fill a growler or two to collect even more Wisdom.

Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
