Each year, the Washington Beer Commission puts on several different festivals to celebrate the diversity and excellence of Washington craft beer. These festivals are a great way to discover new Washington breweries and to explore different craft styles that you may not be as familiar with.
It may still be a full month away, but tickets are already on sale for one of my favorite Washington Beer Commission hosted festivals: Belgian Fest 2017. Set for 2 sessions on Saturday, January 28th, Belgian Fest 2017 will feature well over 100 different Belgian style beers from over 40 different Washington State breweries. Featured beer styles include Tripels, Dubbels, Saisons, Wits, Abbeys and Lambics. In keeping with this unique style, all of the beers are brewed with Belgian yeast.

Tickets are $37 Advance or $45 at the door. Limited tickets at the door.
Admission includes a tasting glass and 10 tasting tokens. Each taste is 4 oz.
Separate tickets required for each session.
$5 designated driver admission is available at the door. Designated driver includes includes soda and/or water.
21+ only. No refunds. No dogs. Registered service dogs ok.
2017 Belgian Fest beer list will be announced in mid January.
Food will be available to purchase from a selection of local food trucks.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please email us with your 1st and 2nd shift preferences. Volunteer shifts are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Volunteers receive admission to the event upon completion of their shift. 2nd session volunteers also receive admission to a future Washington Beer Commission event. Tickets for Belgian Fest 2017 are on sale now from Brown Paper Tickets. As noted above, separate tickets are required for each session. Purchase your ticket(s) in advance to save, and to ensure entry into the festival. There is no guarantee any tickets will still be available at the door on the day of the festival. Also, don’t forget to bring your WABL Passport to receive 2 extra drink tokens and a chance to taste a WABL exclusive beer.

There are also volunteer opportunities for Belgian Fest 2017 but, as you can see above, two of the three volunteer sessions are already full. You can still sign up to volunteer for the 2nd Session though, from 5 pm to 8:30 pm. The full tap list for the festival has not yet been announced, but should be available by mid January.
