Summer is fading away in Seattle. Our temperatures are down, the rain is back and the leaves are already starting to turn. Heck, I’ve even already started drinking Oktoberfest beers (the official dates for Oktoberfest this year are September 17 thru October 3). Fall is still officially a couple of weeks away though, so there’s still time for a few more Summertime celebrations before we welcome back the grey skies and rain for months.
Stogies n Hops (CBM Sponsor) is all set to celebrate the end of Summer with their 3rd Annual Summer End Pig Roast, which is also a celebration of the 20th Anniversaries of both Firestone Walker Brewing Company and Stone Brewing Company.
The celebration is set for next Saturday, Septepber 17th at Stogies n Hops from 1 -4 pm. They’ll have roasted pig for you to feast on, a raffle with prizes to give away and 20 taps flowing. The tap lineup for this event looks great, especially for fans of Firestone Walker and Stone Brewing. Also, don’t forget to take some time to check out Stogies n Hops’ walk-in humidor, stocked with several excellent, award winning cigars.
Here is the tap list for this event:
- Stickee Monkee
- Anniversary Ale
- Velvet Markin
- 5th Anniversary
- 10th Anniversary
- 15th Anniversary
- 20th Anniversary
Stogies n Hops will also have a few other selections on tap for those who aren’t fans of barrel-aged beers of IPAs, but I imagine most who attend will be after those Firestone and Stone taps.
Not in the mood for roast pig to accompany your beers? No problem. Stogies n Hops offers bar munchies and sandwiches, and they’re also connected to Aca Las Tortas, if you’d prefer some delicious Mexican food. So mark your calendar now and head on up to Lynnwood next Saturday.
Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
