There are lots of animal lovers in the Seattle area, including myself. Most local breweries and craft beer bars (at least those that don’t serve food) are even dog friendly and encourage us to bring our furry friends along for a visit.
Counterbalance Brewing Company loves animals too, so they’ve organized an event this coming Saturday to benefit Vet Techs Without Borders, dedicated to improving animal welfare worldwide by connecting volunteer veterinary support staff to the organizations that need their help. Also, coinciding with this event, Counterbalance will be releasing a new beer, a Belgian Golden Strong Ale.
Here is some more information about this event from Counterbalance Brewing Company:
Counterbalance Brewing Company will be holding a combined beer release and fundraising event at the brewery Saturday, August 13, from 2-9pm. The beer, a Belgian Golden Strong Ale (8.5% abv), is a radiant golden color with effervescent carbonation, spiced honey, orange and stonefruit flavors, and complex yeast character. The single-batch release will be available while it lasts by the glass and for growler fills at the brewery, as well as in retail and wholesale kegs.
Ales for Animals is a benefit for Vet Techs Without Borders, a local organization whose mission is to improve animal welfare worldwide by connecting volunteer veterinary support staff to organizations that need their help. VTWB is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 registered organization based in Seattle, WA. Representatives of VTWB will be on-hand at the brewery all day providing information about their work, raffling prizes, and enjoying great beer. Counterbalance Brewing Company will donate a portion of beer sales for the day to VTWB as well, and the Mobile Mayan food truck will be serving food all day.
Come out to Counterbalance Brewing this Saturday to enjoy some Belgian Golden Strong Ale and do your part to help Vet Techs Without Borders. As noted above, a portion of beer sales from this Saturday’s event will go towards their efforts.
Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
