The Very Tin Dog That Tin Dog Brewing Is Named After

Nearly two years ago, I first told you about Tin Dog Brewing in Seattle’s South Park neighborhood.  Founded by the husband and wife team of Lisa and Eric Rough, they have an emphasis on Belgian style beers including Wits Saisons, Belgian Pale Ales and more. It seems like just yesterday they were opening their doors to the public, but it was back on Saturday, February 5th 2014 and now, they’re preparing to celebrate their 2nd Anniversary.

With the Oscars airing the same date as Tin Dog’s Anniversary celebration, Sunday, February 28th, Tin Dog has decided to throw an Oscar-themed party – no tuxedo or red carpet gown required.  Just bring yourself, your thirst for good beer and your Oscars trivia knowledge.

Here is some more information from Tin Dog Brewing Company:

Tin Dog is turning two, and we’d like to celebrate with you! This year, our anniversary is an Oscar Party. Here are some highlights:

  • Get your picture taken on the Red Carpet
  • Guess the winners of the Top Oscar Awards and get a prize
  • Win your own Oscar with Tin Dog Trivia
  • Meet a star-studded Randall
  • Enjoy the show on the big screen and sumptuous snacks

Also, to help celebrate their anniversary, Tin Dog will be releasing a new beer on the 28th: Solitary Monk.  Described by Tin Dog as a light, refreshing Belgian Single with a nut-like finish, Solitary Monk is modeled after the beer the monks made for themselves; made with Alba Barley from Skagit Valley Malting.

So mark your calendar now and come down to South Park on the 28th to watch the Oscars and help Tin Dog celebrate.  Tin Dog opens their doors at 4 pm.

Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
