Black Raven Brewing Company (CBM Sponsor) makes some pretty amazing beers. Most of my favorites of theirs, however, tend to be on the darker and heavier side. Not that I don’t love Wisdom Seeker and their other IPA offerings (and their Fresh Hop Saison is amazing!), but some of my favorites include: Grandfather Raven Imperial Stout (and Great Grandfather Raven Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout), Gunpowder Plot Nitro Porter, Kentucky Coco Jones and, of course, just about every iteration of La Petite Mort.
Now, Black Raven is set to release a new beer that might help pull me back a bit from the dark side (even though it’s still dark in appearance). Arriving next Tuesday the 12th from Black Raven is Frost Beak Winter Lager.
According to Black Raven Brewing Company:
A new creation from one of our newest brewers, Sara Luchi.
Malts: Pilsner, Vienna, Munich, Carafa, CrystalHops: Northern Brewer, Opal, Hersbrucker
6.3% ABV
Frost Beak will be available on tap in The Raven’s Nest when they open their doors at 3 p.m. on the 12th, and available for growler fills to go (no bottles). I would also expect to see Frost Beak popping up at a few select local craft beer bars.
Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
