Fremont Brewing Company is extremely popular and it’s pretty easy to see why. Their impressive lineup of beers keeps Seattle craft lovers satisfied year round. From their hoppy and thirst-quenching Interurban IPA to their easy drinking Summer Ale and their sought after offerings like Darkstar and Abominable, they honestly don’t make a single beer I don’t like.
People from our craft sister city, Portland, also love Fremont Brewing Company beers but, until now, they’ve had to make a special trip up here to get them. Not anymore. Starting today, November 17th, Fremont Brewing Company beers, in a partnership with Columbia Distributing, are now available in Oregon State.

Fremont Brewing and Columbia Distributing Announce Oregon Partnership
Launch Party at APEX on November 17, 2015, 4 – 8:00 pm
SEATTLE — – Fremont Brewing of Seattle, Washington will be distributed in Oregon by Columbia Distributing beginning with draft sales later this month. To celebrate their entry into the Portland market, Fremont Brewing and Columbia Distributing will host a launch party featuring ten Fremont brews at APEX in Portland on Tuesday, November 17, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. APEX is located at 1216 SE Division St. 97202.
The Seattle-based brewery and taproom was founded in 2009 by Matt Lincecum and Sara Nelson and is now the fastest growing brewery in Washington, with sales projected to increase significantly since Columbia Distributing assumed Fremont’s WA distribution in August of this year.
Winner of countless awards, including World Beer Cup and GABF medals, Fremont’s brews include their flagship Universale Pale Ale; Interurban IPA, WA’s best-selling craft beer; and local seasonal favorite Summer Ale; as well as numerous barrel-aged and special release styles.
In addition to its reputation for consistent quality and innovation, Fremont Brewing is a recognized leader in sustainable brewing operations and community engagement such as giving generously to non-profit organizations, promoting the organic hop and local grain markets, and reducing their carbon footprint through conservation and green technologies. It is for these and many other initiatives that they won Washington’s Manufacturer of the Year Award for 2015 and King County’s Best Small Business Award in 2014.
“We’re excited to offer our craft beer to our brothers and sisters in Oregon with our partners, Columbia Distributing. APEX is the perfect spot to begin this chapter in Fremont’s future because they know that Beer Matters,” Lincecum said. “We will travel throughout the great nation of Oregon in the coming weeks and hold events and tastings for the good people in Oregon…Because Oregon Matters!”
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Fremont. Their success in one of the most competitive craft markets in the country is a testament not only to the quality of their beers but to their exceptional people,” said Jesse Ferber, VP of craft and imports at Columbia Distributing. “Their team stood out to Columbia as one of the best in class, the more we learned about their organization; the more we felt this was a very strong match for us.”
