From the tiny little brewery in Bothell that brought you Skittles… uh, I mean 12th Man… uh, I mean Cease & Desist IPA, comes the return of another award-winning ale. Foggy Noggin Brewing Company is happy to announce that their most popular seasonal brew, Butch’s Brew Brown Ale, will be making it’s return this Saturday, November 7th.
Butch’s Brew is a classic, English style Brown Ale with the addition of local, Pacific grown hazelnuts, giving it a malty character that your palate will welcome this chilly Fall. It was also the 2014 winner for Best Brown Ale in the Northwest Brewing News Reader’s Choice Awards. It’s 4.5% ABV and 28 IBUs.
Here is a bit more information about this beer from Foggy Noggin Brewing Company:
Celebrating the fall harvest, Brown Ales have been a long awaited standard in the UK. Adding fresh roasted nuts to this rich beer, added an extra special character that only the finest breweries produced. Foggy Noggin Brewing embraces this tradition with the celebration from the local Palouse Hills. This traditional English Brown, has locally grown Pacific NW Hazelnuts that have been freshly roasted and added to the mash. The result, a rich malt forward beer – with a wonderful medley of sweet flavors that linger long in a dry pleasing finish.
Also, according to Foggy Noggin, “This beer will run about 6-8 weeks. Pint and Growler sales at the brewery tasting room. You will see this at some of our tap accounts over the next 2 months.” So drop by the Foggy Noggin taproom or keep an eye out at some of the craft beer bars where you can find Foggy Noggin Ales, and have yourself a Butch’s Brew.
Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
