Next Thursday Is Brewery Night At Safeco Field


Seattle definitely knows its craft beer.  That’s an indisputable truth.  On many national lists of where to find the best craft beer, Seattle sometimes gets overlooked for our friends to the South in Portland but, when it comes to craft beer selection at MLB stadiums, Safeco Field is tough to beat.

Last year, they were ranked right at the top among several lists of the best stadiums for craft beer in the nation and the list of great beers available at the Safe continues to grow.  According to The Daily Meal: “The ballpark is actually known nationally for its reputation as a good place to watch baseball and drink good beer. They feature both locals and national breweries — and there’s a long list of them.”

In celebration of the great craft beer selection available at Safeco, next Thursday, June 18th is the 3rd Annual Brewery Night at Safeo, featuring beers from several Seattle area breweries.

Fans of the Seattle Mariners and craft beer can show that they’re “True to the Brew” on Thursday, June 18 when the Mariners take on the San Francisco Giants.

A selection of local craft brewers will be pouring at the Third Annual Safeco Field Brewery Night from 5:10-7pm at the Outside Corner on the View Level of Safeco Field.

Breweries represented include Bale Breaker Brewing Company of Yakima, Black Raven Brewing Company of Redmond, Fremont Brewing of Seattle, Laurelwood Brewing Company of Portland,Ninkasi Brewing of Eugene, Schooner Exact of Sodo, Silver City Brewery of Bremerton and Sumerian Brewing Company of Woodinville.

The cost is $30 per person and includes a ticket on the View Level (300 Level), vouchers for two drinks and a “True to the Brew” bottle opener. Guests must be 21 or older for this special offer. Deadline to buy tickets is noon on Wednesday, June 17.

Safeco Field is noted for its great beer selection. Approximately 70-percent of all taps at the ballpark are craft beers including cask ale, as well as Firkin Fridays in The ‘Pen with local brews on a rotating basis.
