Odin Brewing Company first launched back in December of 2009, but have grown quickly.  Their mission of creating not just a few large, single-batch beers but instead focusing on brewing beers that pair well with different foods has served them well.  Most of Odin’s beers are available year round, with just a few special limited/seasonal releases like Equinox Dark Belgian Strong Ale with Brettanomyces yeast or Whiskey Barrel Aged Stout.

Odin originally had two locations: the brewery itself in Seattle’s South Park neighborhood and Odin’s Tap Room, Asgard Tavern, in Fremont.  What many people may not be aware of, however, is that Odin has been in the process of moving their entire operation to their new location in Tukwila, WA, just outside Southcenter Mall and right next door to California Pizza Kitchen (you can even order pizza from CPK while you’re enjoying a few pints at Odin, and you’ll find a few Odin beers on tap at CPK!)

The Tap List At Odin Tukwila

With Winter bearing down on us, and with a desire to introduce more people to their great new Tukwila location, Odin felt the time was right to host their own Winterfest.  Happening this coming Saturday, 12/13, this family friendly fest will include a mini art fair with work from local artists, the opportunity to get your picture taken with Santa and some delicious cask beer pouring.  Also, special for this event, Odin will be tapping a keg of Spiced Abbey, their Belgian ‘table beer’.

Odin has also just re-launched their BBQ (enhanced with Thor’s Equinox Dark Belgian Strong Ale) and will be serving up pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches, brisket and ribs – all smoked in-house, so you won’t have to worry about where to get a bite to eat.

So come on down to Tukwila this Saturday, maybe get a little Christmas shopping done at Southcenter Mall, then head over to Odin for some art, time with Santa, some great beers and some delicious barbecue.  Things get under way when Odin opens their doors at noon.

Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
