Nothing But Flowers Returns From Black Raven Brewing

I love a good IPA.  If you’re one of my regular readers, then you know this all too well.  Of course, sometimes I want the hoppy character of an IPA without the high ABV that will make me want to take a nap after having a few.  Enter the Session IPA.  ‘Session’ beers are designed to be lower in alcohol, so you can drink more at a stretch without getting too silly.

Granted, I enjoy the extra flavor kick a decent ABV gives a good IPA, which is why most of my favorite IPAs are actually Double/Imperial IPAs.  Still, I have found a few different session IPAs that I really enjoy despite the lower ABV, simply because they are hopped properly (aggressively, some might say), giving you that hop kick you expect from a good IPA.  One session IPA that does this particularly well is Nothing But Flowers Session IPA from Black Raven Brewing Company (CBM Sponsor).

Here are a few more details from Black Raven Brewing:

Built on a simple malt base this IPA will let the hops talk straight to your head. The idea behind this beer was to make a low alcohol IPA that has the same hop aroma and flavor profile of a standard IPA & even some double IPAs out there. Take a sip, sit back and ask yourself, can I get used to this lifestyle? Well, with a bouquet of hop aroma blasting us in the face and fruit flavors of peach, melon, nectarine, & grapefruit backed up with a clean/dry bitterness leaving uswanting more, we sure can.

Returning next Tuesday, October 7th, Nothing But Flowers Session IPA will be available on tap at Black Raven Brewing in Redmond, in 22 oz bottles and will also be available for growler fills.  Pick some up while you can and get used to this lifestyle.

Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
