It’s time for a Fn celebration! Foggy Noggin Brewing, the brewery that brought you 12th… uh… I mean Skitt… uh… wait. The brewery that brought you Cease & Desist IPA, in celebration of our own World Champion Seattle Seahawks, is preparing to celebrate their fourth anniversary on Saturday, March 22nd.
As has become customary in previous years to mark their anniversary, Foggy Noggin Brewing will be releasing the 2014 version of their English Old Ale. This popular beer is available only in limited supplies, so you might want to think about pre-ordering some. Pre-sales of Foggy Noggin Brewing 4th Anniversary English Old Ale will be available by the case on the 3 Saturday’s prior to the anniversary celebration (meaning that pre-sales started on March 1st and will continue on March 8th and March 15th). Those pre-ordering cases may pick them up during the weeks after. Visit Foggy Noggin’s website for more information.
If you’re already a big fan of Foggy Noggin’s English Old Ale or you’d really like to get to know it well, then you might also be interested in signing up for a repeat of the vertical tasting they held last year. Want to try four years of Foggy Noggin Brewing’s Anniversary English Old Ale (2011, 12, 13 & 14)? Then you’ll have to purchase a ticket. With the popularity and limited supply of these beers, Foggy Noggin can only hold back so much each year for these vertical tastings.
The vertical tasting will be held in two sessions of 20 people each. The session times will be 6 PM – 7:30 PM on Thursday, March 20th and Friday, March 21st. The cost per-person for the tasting is $30, which includes tastes of all four years of English Old Ale. According to Foggy Noggin founder and head brewer, Jim Jamison, “We have recently opened a few bottles of the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Anniversary Ale and are very happy with the aging qualities time has graced on this beer. Additionally, each participant will take home 1 bottle of 2014 Anniversary Ale (English Old Ale) before the official release.”
If you’re interested in signing up for this very limited tasting event, get down to Foggy Noggin on March 8th or March 15th to reserve your spot (I would recommend March 8th if you’re serious about it). Payment must be received before the event to secure your place.
Whether you’re heading down for the vertical tasting or just dropping by to wish Foggy Noggin a happy anniversary, I’m sure they’ll be happy to see you. If you’ve never tried Foggy Noggin beers before, now might be the right time.
Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
