This year’s Great Pumpkin Beer Festival is scheduled for Friday, October 4th through Sunday, October 6th and will be held at Elysian Brewing‘s production brewery facility in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. This will be the 9th Annual Great Pumpkin Beer Festival (GPBF), and it just seems to get bigger and more popular each year. If you’ve never been to the festival and/or have never tried a pumpkin beer, I urge you check it out. You’ll be amazed at the diversity and complexity you’ll find in pumpkin beers.
Though we may be right in the middle of a wonderful Seattle Summer, it’s not to early to start planning. Tickets for this year’s GPBF are set to go on sale on Thursday, August 1st at noon. Last year’s festival sold out completely and I would expect no different this year. So don’t delay in purchasing your tickets or you’ll miss out on all the fun. Like last year, no tickets will be sold at the gate. All tickets for this event are pre-sale. You can purchase your tickets for this year’s festival through Brown Paper Tickets for $25 per session/day ($26.87 including Brown Paper Tickets’ service fee).
According to Elysian Brewing’s latest newsletter:
This month we are planning our Fall Pumpkin Beer Festival! We brewed our first batch of NIght Owl Pumpkin Ale, and will be brewing many new pumpkiny beers over the next couple months leading up to the fest.
This year’s festival will feature more than 60+ different pumpkin beers from around the Northwest and the World. There will be surprise beer treats, three local food trucks to keep your bellies full, plus ice cream (yes, including pumpkin ice cream!) donuts, pumpkin carving and, as always, a ‘Great Pumpkin’ filled with beer will be tapped each day of the festival – filled with a pumpkin beer of Elysian’s choosing. I hope to see you there.
Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
