Brouwer’s Cafe is one of Seattle’s premiere craft beer destinations. With their always impressive tap list and incredible bottle selection, it’s a place I find myself quite often when I’m craving some good craft beer served in a Belgian-styled venue. Along with their ‘sister’ tavern, Burgundian in Tangletown and Bottleworks Specialty Beer Store in Wallingford, you know you’ll always be able to find something delicious on tap to quench your craft beer craving. When I’m hungry, I often find myself checking Brouwer’s or Burgundian’s websites or Facebook pages to see what food specials they might have going.
Well, checking the tap and food selections at these establishments is about to get a bit easier. If you have an iPhone 4 or 5, you can now download an app from the iTunes store which will let you check what’s on tap at Brouwer’s, Burgundian or Bottleworks, and what food specials might be going at Brouwer’s or Burgundian. The app will also keep you up to date with information on new tapings of kegs, spirits, event/festival information and any other new offerings from all three places.
From Brouwer’s website:
At this time it is only available for iphone 4 and 5, sorry no windows phones or android phones just yet. We started working on this a while back and while it is not perfect right now, we feel it is better to release it in to the world and get it in the end users hands, than to get it perfect. So the information is 95%, if a draftlist or bottlelist is not complete or has changed in the last day or so, the information may be imperfect. We apologize for any trouble this may cause you. Please send your comments/concerns/compliments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The app is free to download but, since I have an Android phone myself, I’ll have to wait a bit longer before I can give you a first-hand review. If you download the app, please post back in the comments section below to let us know what you think. Also, just a reminder that Brouwer’s 11th Annual Hard Liver Barleywine Festival is set to start this year on Saturday, March 23rd. I’ll see you there.
Drink responsibly and stay safe out there.
